Another fun game shutting down. I played several hours of Star Wars: Hunters awhile back for the heck of it. I thought it was very fun and cool. It was basically Overwatch but in a Star Wars theme. Did people just not know about this game or something? How in the heck is this shutting down?
The main reason I didn't continue playing Star Wars: Hunters is because it seems to me that the intended audience is of younger age. And while I did enjoy the game, I was dominating most of those players. I stopped playing CoD: Mobile for the same reason. I liked it, I just didnt want to ruin the game for the younger players like how they ruin Rocket League for me with their pure stupidity and lack of teamwork mentality. I checked the games out for fun, enjoyed them, and left em for the kiddies.
Tell your friends or children about this game so they go play it and breathe life back into it so it doesn't shut down? I'm kind of kidding but wouldn't that be cool? Anyways, I just came to share the sad news. I thought the game was pretty dang cool.
The final content update for Star Wars: Hunters launches on April 15th and the game is planned to be permanently shut down on October 1st.
If you never tried the game before, you should check it out before it closes down if you can. At a brief glance online, it seems Star Wars: Hunters never did end up launching on Steam like it was supposed to. I dunno if there's any way at all possible to play this on PC right now. It's available on mobile and Nintendo Switch. Thanks for reading. Game on.
