Zombie Raid: No One Survives is a top-down isometric twin-stick shooter with smooth gameplay, nice visuals, and badass music. Red Dot Studio announced today, March 5th, that a full access demo is now available for a week. I don't know if it's a five-day week or seven-day week, they didn't put a date. I'll assume five and want seven.
I gave the demo a quick try and played the Horde Mode solo. Quick Play jumped me into my own match. I enjoyed the feel of the movement and aiming. Head-shots aren't too hard to pull off but I did notice I'd miss sometimes when my reticule was clearly over the enemy. I'm guessing range may have something to do with that but it even happened up-close so I wasn't sure. I didn't play enough to get a better feel for it yet but I mostly enjoyed it and was fine with having to pump more bullets out. I really like how far the camera can move while you're aiming as well as the obstacle camera toggle which offers a viewable angle behind buildings.
Zombie Raid: No One Survives also has a 4v4 mode or maybe 4v4v4? I haven't tried it yet. There's also a free-for-all deathmatch mode available in this free trial. In the future, Red Dot Studio has plans to add a Raid mode which sounds like a pvevp mode as well as a Duel mode for 1v1s.
I had not tried the PvP modes out yet in the demo and I'm not sure if I'll be able to. I was planning to try them out later when I'm more in the mood. I went to check right now and neither game mode has any players. I'm slightly surprised just cuz I find the demo to be very impressive. I am interested in how the PvP plays out. It looks great and the gameplay felt really good to me in the horde mode. Update: I had forgotten in the demo notice that pvp for demo players is only with other demo players and not people that own the game.
I plan to try Horde Mode at least one more time before the trial period ends. I had survived a few waves and then messed up on the fourth one cuz I didn't realize how many would come in. It was kinda funny but I was like dangit.
I'm not sure if they have a smaller version of the demo that doesn't offer the PvP mode or what. I had not tried a demo before this trial if they had one. I just wanted to share the game cuz I've been following it and thought it looked cool and now I was impressed by the trial.
Zombie Raid: No One Survives is currently in Early Access for $10.99 as well as a bundle that includes their previous game for a great looking deal at $11.53! It looks fun.
Thanks for reading. Game on.
